The Device 


Full Body Sound's flagship product is a handheld device that receives audio and outputs tactile audio stimulation. The device includes:

  • audio input and audio output ports

  • stimulation intensity control (you choose how much you want to feel)

  • two electrode ports to feel both left and right audio (yep, that's full stereo) 



How It Works

The fundamental technology behind Full Body Sound (FBS) was derived from Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) devices. These medical devices have been around for decades and have offered pain relief to hundreds of thousands of people.

The core difference between the FBS device and a TENS unit is our patent pending signal conditioning. Unlike a TENS unit that outputs a uniform square wave at different frequencies and amplitudes, our device takes an audio signal and conditions it to create electrically stimulating outputs.

  • Full Stereo

Our product utilizes both left and right audio channels providing full stereo to the user. What the user hears on the right can be be felt on the right side of their body, providing an informative audio environment. 

  • More than Bass

Bass is important and has kicked us into the tactile audio revolution. Full Body Sound does bass, but there are so many more exciting frequencies to feel.  Vocals, String Instruments, Trumpets etc. Our device outputs high frequencies as well as low, making it applicable to all music genres.  

  • Multi-user

-The Full Body Sounds product offers a unique multi user experience.


1. Place one electrode on yourself and the other on a friend.

2. When the two of you touch the circuit is completed and the music can be felt by both.

Michael Oliver


Michael is a student at the University of Colorado, Boulder working towards a Bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering. Michael is an intern at Full Body Sound, is a music lover at heart, and is excited to share the experience of feeling music.


When he is not working on Full Body Sound, Griffin is a rocket scientist. With undergraduate and graduate degrees in aerospace engineering and a minor in Biochemistry, he is currently working on the Dream Chaser Spacecraft for SNC. Griffin’s developed technical background and problem solving skills in combination with his experience in an established industry have prepared him to run a successful hardware startup company. Griffin is also an avid adventurer. While he lacks musical talent, he loves music and he can't wait to help the world feel sound.

Allison is a master of rocks. She recently graduated with a Master’s degree from the Colorado School of Mines. Music and the expression of sound has always held an important place in Allison’s life, and she is eager to share the Full Body Sound experience with others. Allison helps promote Full Body Sound by making contacts in the community, and she offers a realistic and grounded point-of-view for the company.
